This Privacy Policy explains what information Guglielmo's Sauce, LLC ("Guglielmo's Sauce," "we," "us") collects when you visit guglielmosauce.com, and what we do with it. We are a small family food business based in Rochester, NY, and we only want to collect what we need to answer you.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. This website has no contact form and does not collect messages itself. If you call or text Paul at 585-350-5788, we receive your phone number and whatever you tell us.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and the date and time. This website does not use analytics or advertising tools.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not collect payment information through this website.
2. How we use information
- To reply to your questions, comments and requests.
- To tell you about the sauce, events or where to buy it, if you ask us to.
- To keep the website working, secure and understandable.
- To meet legal obligations.
3. Cookies, fonts and third-party content
YouTube videos. Our Videos section links to videos hosted on YouTube (a Google service). Nothing from YouTube is embedded on our pages: a video opens on YouTube in a new tab only when you choose it. Once you are on YouTube, it may set cookies and collect information under its own policies: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Fonts. This website loads its typefaces (DM Serif Display, Source Sans 3 and, on the Our Story and Recipes pages, Homemade Apple) from Google Fonts. When a page loads, Google may receive your IP address and browser details, under Google's own policies.
Social media links. Our Instagram and Facebook links take you to those sites. Once you leave our site, their privacy policies apply.
Other links. Some recipes link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
Cookies and your device. This website does not set cookies. If you use the light or dark mode button, your choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) so the site remembers it; it is not sent to us. If you pause the background video, that choice is kept in your browser for this visit only (session storage) and is also not sent to us. You can clear both in your browser settings.
4. Who we share information with
We share information only with:
- Service providers who help us run the website, such as our hosting provider, under their terms.
- Authorities or others when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety or property.
- A buyer or successor if the business is sold or reorganized.
5. How long we keep it
We keep messages and contact details only as long as needed to respond and for our ordinary business records, then delete them.
6. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no website, phone line or message is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information (such as card or bank numbers) by phone or text.
7. Children
This website is for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, call 585-350-5788 and we will delete it.
8. Your choices and data requests
